For use with the QuickMates™ coil collated screwdriving system for continuous driving of screws without bending down. With 150 screws per coil there is minimal time lost reloading as compared to other systems. Designed for self-drilling and fixing into timber or thin metal up to 0.75mm thick. Featuring a TimberMates® Type 17 point for drilling into timber and a Countersunk Ribbed head. The self countersinking ribs under the head ensure a flush finish in the material being fastened.

1/ Ensure the correct driver tool is fitted to your QuickMates™ system and is not worn or damaged from previous use.
2/ Load the coil into the magazine and feed the strip into the nosepiece stopping one spot short of where the screw is to be aligned with drive tip.
It is important that the first screw is not in alignment with where the drive tip will advance.
3/ Check the distance between the end of the drill point and the metal foot and adjust the foot until the distance is approximately 3mm.
4/ Select the depth adjustment on the coil magazine to drive the screw to the depth required.
It will take a few times to learn where the best setting is so we recommend selecting a place 1/2 way along the depth selection guide and conducting a pre-test.
5/ Select a place where a pre-test can be conducted.
6/ Prior to placing the nosepiece against the material to be fastened pull the trigger on the power tool to full speed (approx. 2,000 r.p.m.) and hold it on.
7/ Now place the nosepiece against the work surface and fully compress the tool down to the timber surface until it will not advance any further then withdraw the tool fully to allow the nosepiece to return to its full length.
This action will move the first screw into alignment with the drive tip.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER BETWEEN THIS FIRST ACTION AND THE DRIVING OF THE NEXT SCREW.
8/ Repeat step 7/ and this time you will feel that a screw has engaged and is starting to drill, DO NOT push too hard just allow the screw to drill.
It is equally important to keep the pressure on the tool until the screw has fully fastened into the timber and pulled down tight.
DO NOT back off your advancing pressure until the screwdriver clutches out.
9/ Again withdraw the tool fully to allow the nosepiece to return to its full length and check if the screw is set to your desired depth, if it is not then make the necessary adjustments on the depth adjustment slide and repeat the process until the correct depth is achieved.
9/ You are now ready to start fastening but remember the easy tips:-
• Start the first screw one spot short of where the driver tip is going to advance.
• Start the power tool running before the nosepiece contacts the timber surface.
• Compress firmly whilst drilling the screw and go all the way down until the screw driver clutches out.
• Lift the tool completely away from the surface after driving each screw with the power tool still running at 2,000 r.pm.

Recommended Driving speed is approximately 1,800~2,000 r.p.m.

NOTE: Occasionally a screw may misfire, if you see it drop from the machine you should be able to keep working on with the next screw in line.
If it does not drop or jams, stop driving immediately clear the jam and re-align the strip.
It is easiest just to cut the strip just before it enters the nosepiece when clearing a jam
NEVER try to pull the strip backwards as this will damage the feeding mechanism.
NEVER try to repair the tool yourself as your warranty will be voided.
