160020 Polycarb TimberMates® - Hex & Polycarb Washer

These screws feature a TimberMates® Type 17 self-drilling point for drilling into timber and thin metal battens They are assembled with Polycarb Sealing Washers and are designed for crest fixing polycarbonate roof sheets to timber battens or light gauge metal battens. Use 50mm for lower crest heights and 65mm for Square rib. Longer screws are available for higher profiles.

A clearance hole is required to be pre-drilled in the Polycarb profile in accordance with the Polycarb profile manufacturers' specifications.

1/ Ensure the correct driver tool is fitted to your power drill or screw driver.
2/ Place the screw on the driver tool and position it through the clearance hole onto the timber being fastened into.
3/ If necessary push sharply to create a centre mark and to prevent screw wander.
4/ Squeeze trigger and maintain steady, constant pressure until the screw has drilled and fastened.
Recommended Driving speed is approximately 800~1,000 r.p.m when fixing into timber.
