Steelmates® - Countersunk Rib Head with Wings
Designed for fixing timber to metal these screws feature Wings which counterbore a clearance hole through the timber. This allows the drill point to drill through the metal without clogging and burning out. The wings snap off when they contact the metal allowing the thread to engage. The Ribbed head self countersinks into the timber to provide a flush or below the surface finish.
These 8 gauge screws feature 6 big nibs under the head. They are also ideal for fixing cement sheet to metal.
These screws are ideal for timber flooring and decking, picket fences, gates etc., and general fastening of timber and composite boards to metal.
Ideal for heavy duty applications such as fixing timber staircases, facades, awnings etc., to metal up to 6.4mm.
*These screws are not recommended for fixing treated pine decking or long lengths of treated pine. This is due to the high expansion,
contraction & warping that can occur. This places huge stress on the screw. Decreased screw spacings, heavier screw gauges or
shorter lengths of treated pine will assist in reducing, but may not eliminate this problem.
